Vaishnavas CARE Mission: Vaishnavas C.A.R.E. (Counseling, Assistance, Resource, and Education for the Terminally ill and those in Need) is an educational program and support system for patients and loved ones facing acute illness, longterm, chronic illnesses and end-of-life situations.

We seek to educate those within our ISKCON communities in "The Art of Caring for Vaishnavas" & to assist them in starting local Vaishnavas CARE Teams in order to systematically care for sick and dying members within their temples and congregations with emotional, spiritual, medical, and end-of-life needs. We specialize in improving the quality of life for terminally ill patients and family members within the Vaishnava faith through our seminars, continued workshops, educational website, Online Hospice Course and book, The Final Journey -- Complete Hospice Care for Departing Vaishnavas (Torchlight Publishing--Updated, 2nd Edition). Our book has assisted thousands of caregivers faced with caregiving responsibilities of a family member or friend. It has been"mandatory reading" for the nursing staff at a Catholic Inpatient Hospice facility in California for over 20 years. Physicians, Registered Nurses, and Social Workers/Counselors, as well as laypersons, have given rave reviews of our courses after attending them.

Our seminars and online course are for healthcare professionals as well as laypersons  who wish to learn basic concepts, skills  and the practical duties of a Hospice Caregiver.

Vaishnavas CARE provides ongoing one-on-one communication via Skype, Zoom, phone calls, texts and emails, with individual and/or family conferences when needed. In addition, we offer emotional and spiritual support from our trained and professional Vaishnavas CARE volunteers, including our licensed, professional Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and Grief Counselors. We offer a Vaishnavas CARE Grief Support Group, a private, closed and confidential group on Facebook with 147 members at present who are devotees of Lord Krishna. This is the only Online Grief Support Group especially formed for devotees of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna.

Although geared toward a specific population within the Vaishnava faith, we also invite anyone, of any belief system, to take advantage of our services if you feel we can be of assistance. We would be honored to assist you in any way possible. Thank you!

Vaishnavas CARE Vision:

anta-kale ca mam eva smaranmuktva kalevaram

yah prayati sa mad bhavam yati nasty atra samsayah (Bg 8.5)

“And whoever, at the end of his life, quits his body remembering

Me alone at once attains My nature. Of this there is no doubt. “

Vaishnava scripture teaches that the human form of life is a special opportunity to prepare oneself and others toward the above mentioned end, where an individual soul has the rare chance to return back to his or her original Home with the Lord. As stated in the Bhagavad-gita As It Is, this material world is a temporary existence  of birth, death, old age and disease for the eternal soul. As pure souls we belong not to this world of repeated birth and death but to the world of eternal bliss and knowledge in service to Lord Krishna.

For some, serious challenges may be present when facing the end of life.  Preparing for one’s imminent death is a crucial time for the terminally ill patient. In a supportive environment, we as trained volunteer caregivers,  as well as medical professionals, address the physical decline of the hospice patient along with the emotional upheaval that may arise from one’s imminent departure.  In addition, we address any “anticipatory grief” issues of the family members prior to their loved ones death.

In this way, with a strong support system, our hope is for every individual who connects with Vaishnavas CARE to reach the long-awaited goal of a peaceful departure from this world and a swift journey back Home, back to Godhead. For those left behind who are grieving their loss of a loved one or friend, we also provide various types of Grief Support up to 13 months after a loved one's death.

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one or friend and are seeking an Online Grief Support Group specifically for Devotees of Lord Krishna please visit our "Vaishnavas CARE" Facebook Page to connect with Devotees from around the world who are also grieving the loss of someone dear to them. This closed, private group can offer you new friendships and the emotional and spiritual support you may be seeking from those who can relate to your situation. There is no need to grieve alone! Please visit our group and allow us to assist you at your time of loss. We look forward to meeting you.
